ORDINANCE NO. 1691
AN ORDINANCE GRANTING A SPECIAL USE/HOME OCCUPATION
PERMIT FOR THE OPERATION OF COUNSELING AT 44 WEST PINE
STREET, CANTON, ILLINOIS TO CARLA ROOP.
WHEREAS, it appears to the City Council of the City of Canton, Fulton County,
Illinois, that the territory hereinafter described is located within the corporate limits of the
City of Canton; and,
WHEREAS, a petition was filed by Carla Roop to the Planning & Zoning
Commission of said City requesting a special use; and,
WHEREAS, a notice of a petition for a special use permit in a R-4 Multiple
Family Zoning was published within said City and County, all in accordance with the
Statutes of Illinois and the Ordinances of the City of Canton; and,
WHEREAS, no objectors appeared at said hearings and said commission did
thereupon make favorable fmdings of fact and did recommend to the Canton City
Council that said special use/home occupation for Counseling at 44 West Pine Street,
Canton, Illinois.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF CANTON, FULTON COUNTY, ILLINOIS AS FOLLOWS:
1. That the City Council of the City of Canton, Fulton County, Illinois, hereby
fords the foregoing recitals to be fact.
2. That a special use permit for the home occupation of Counseling, be issued to
Carla Roop at 44 West Pine Street, Canton, Illinois, affecting real property
being legally described as follows:
TRACT 1: Part of the Southeast Quarter of Section 27, Township 7 North, Range 4 East
of the Fourth Principal Meridian, in Fulton County, Illinois bounded and described as
follows: Commencing 198-1/2 feet West and 160 feet North of the Southwest corner of
Lot 55 in Jones' Second Addition to Canton, running thence North to the South line of
Pine Street in the City of Canton, thence West 72 feet, more or less, to the Northeast
corner of the Lot owned by Nancy F. Jones on July 6, 1935, thence Southwesterly along
the East line and the East line extended of said Lot to a point 76 feet, more or less,
directly West of the point of beginning, thence East to the point of beginning, situated in
Fulton County, Illinois.
3. That the record of the City of Canton, appropriated documents, maps and
related regulations be and the same hereby are, amended to reflect the
foregoing special use permit granted herein.

meeting this 4th day of April , 2001 upon a roll call vote as follows:

Addition to Canton, thence South One Hundred Eighty-seven (187),
thence West Fifty-eight (58) feet, thence North One Hundred
Eighty-seven (187) feet, thence East Fifty-eight (58) feet to the
Point of Beginning, situated in Fulton County, Illinois.
