ORDINANCE NO. 1682
AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR HANDICAP PARKING AT 231 EAST ELM
STREET IN THE CITY OF CANTON, ILLINOIS.
WHEREAS, the Legal and Ordinance Committee of the Canton City Council has
determined that it is necessary, desirable and in the best interest of the City of Canton to
provide for handicap parking at 231 East Elm Street in the City of Canton; and,
WHEREAS, the Canton City Council has made a similar determination.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF CANTON, Fulton County, Illinois, as follows:
1. That the foregoing recitals are hereby found to be fact.
2. That a handicap parking space shall be provided on the North side of East Elm
Street at general address of 231 East Elm Street, Canton, Illinois.
3. That the Street Superintendent shall cause the appropriate signor signs to be
posted.
4. That all ordinances, or, portions of ordinances in conflict with this ordinance
are hereby rescinded and repealed.
5. That this Ordinance shall be in full force and effect immediately upon its
passage by the City Council of the City of Canton, Fulton County, Illinois and
approval by the Mayor thereof.
PASSED by the City Council of the City of Canton, Fulton County, Illinois at a
regular meeting this 16thday of January, 2001, upon a roll call vote as follows:
AYES: Aldern~en May , Shores , Meade , Nidiffer, Phillips , Sarff ,
Hartford, Molleck.
NAYS: None ,
ABSENT: None
