AN ORDINANCE TO CHANGE PARKING ON AVENUE B FROM THE EAST
SIDE TO THE WEST SIDE OF THE STREET BETWEEN PINE AND ELM
STREETS IN THE CITY OF CANTON, FULTON COUNTY, ILLINOIS
WHEREAS, the Legal and Ordinance Committee of the Canton City Council has
determined that it is necessary, desirable and in the best interest of the City of Canton to
change the parking on Avenue B from the East side to the West side of the street between
Pine and Elm Streets in the City of Canton; and,
WHEREAS, the Canton City Council has made a similar determination.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED, by the City Council and the City of
Canton, Fulton County, Illinois:
1. That the foregoing recitals aze hereby found to be fact.
2. That the parking on Avenue B between Pine and Elm Streets will be on
the West side of the Street instead of the East side of the Street.
3. That all ordinances, or, portions of ordinances in conflict with this
ordinance aze hereby rescinded and repealed.
4. That this ordinance shall be in full force and effect immediately upon its
passage by the City Council of the City of Canton, Fulton County, Illinois
and approval by the Mayor thereof
PASSED: by the City Council of the City of Canton, Fulton County, Illinois, at a
regular meeting this 6th day of August , 2002, upon a roll call vote as follows:
AYES: Aldermen. Fillingham, Shores, Carl, GJest, Sarff, Haxt-
ford, Molleck.
NAYES: None .
ABSENT: ~-~~ Meade
