AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE ESTABLISHING OF COMPENSATION FOR
POSITIONS WITHIN THE CITY OF CANTON FOR THE FISCAL YEAR BEGINNING
MAY, 2010
WHEREAS, the City of Canton, acting through its Mayar with the concurrence of the City
Council determines the annual salaries to be paid to City employment positions not provided for under
a collective bargaining agreement, and
WHEREAS, the fiscal year beginning May, 2009 expired Apri130, 2010 and it is necessary to
amend the establish rates for the ensuing fiscal year.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of the City of Canton, Illinois, as
follows:
1. That the rates of compensation for the fiscal year beginning May 2010 for the various positions
of department head, superintendent, full-time appointive employee, and any and all positions
referenced in Exhibit A(attached hereto and incorporated herein as Exhibit A), are to be
effective as of and retroactive to and inclusive of the date of May l, 2010. Said salaries are in
addition to other entitlements normally and customarily extended to each such position.
2. That this Ordinance shall be in full force and effect immediately upon its passage by the City
Council of the City of Canton, Illinois and approval by the Mayor thereof.
PASSED by the City Council of the City of Canton, Illinois and approved by the Mayor thereof this

AYES: Aldermen West, Sarff, Hartford, Pickel, Ellis
NAYS: None
ABSENT: Aldermen Schenck, Reed, Rivero
