A Special meeting of th.e Canton Ci~y Council was held on Au~ust 27th
1985 in Council Chambers,
PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE OPENED THE MEETING FOLLOWED BY THE INVOCATION
GIVEN BY CITY CLERK NANCY WHTTES,
Mayor Edwards asked for roll call at b: 30 p.m, Prese~zti A1.~.ermen
Kovachevich, Zilly, Falcone, Sarff, Workman, Bohler, May, Chapman.
Absent: None.
PURPOSE OF THE SPECIAL MEETING:
a) to consider and take final action
on the recommendation of the Liquor
Commission of a liquor license fo~
the Friendship Festival Association;
and,
b) any such o~Cher items of business that
may be placed upan the Canton City
Council agenda.
Mayor Edwards reported that ~he Liquor Co~nission met on August 22nd,
their recommendation is to grant a liquor l.icense to the Friendship
Festival Association for a class F Special Event license to sell
beer and wine.
Motion by Alderman Sarff, second by Alderman May, a liquor license
be issued to the Friend~hip Festival Association to sell beer and
wine on September 5~h thru ~Che 7th, Roll call. AYES: Aldermen
Chapman, May, Bohler, Workman, Sarff, Falcone, Zilly, Kovachevich.
NAYS - none. Motion carried. 8 AYES 0 NAYS 0 ABSENT.
ADJOURMENT: Motion by Alderman Sarff, second by Alderman Falcone,
to adjourn. Voice vot~, motion carried. Council adjourned at 6:32
p,m.
