HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinance #1723~ '~ ORDINANCE NO. 1723 AN ORDINANCE GRANTING A SPECIAL USE PERMIT FOR THE OPERATION OF ABED AND BREAKFAST AT 1060 N. MAIN STREET TO ALICE BROWN. WHEREAS, It appears to the City Council of the City of Canton, Fulton County, Illinois, that the territory hereinafter described is located within the corporate limits of the City of Canton; and, WHEREAS, A Petition was filed by Alice Brown, to the Planning and Zoning Commission of said City requesting a special use permit; and, WHEREAS, Notice of a petition for a special use permit in a R-2 zoning was published within said City and County, all in accordance with the Statutes of the State of Illinois and the Ordinances of the City of Canton; and, WHEREAS, No objectors appeared at said hearing and said Planning and Zoning Commission did thereupon make favorable findings of fact and did recommend to the Canton City Council that said special use permit be issued for the Bed and Breakfast at 1060 N. Main Street, Canton, Illinois NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CANTON, FULTON COUNTY, ILLINOIS, AS FOLLOWS: 1. That the City Council of the City of Canton, Fulton County, Illinois, hereby finds the foregoing recitals to be fact. 2. That a special use permit for the operation of a Bed and Breakfast be issued to Alice Brown, 1060 N. Main Street, Canton, Illinois affecting real property being legally described as follows: (See attached) 3. That the record of the City of Canton, appropriate documents, maps and related regulations be and the same hereby are amended to reflect the foregoing special use permit granted herein. PASSED by the City Council of the City of Canton, Fulton County, Illinois, at a regular meeting this 19thday of February, 2002, upon a roll call vote as follows: AYES: Aldermen Fillingham, Shores, Meade, T,Test, Sarff, Hartford, Molleck.
