ORDINANCE NO. 1721
AN ORDINANCE GRANTING A SPECIAL USE/HOME OCCUPATION
PERMIT FOR THE OPERATION OF A CUSTOM WELDING SHOP AT 724
SOUTH SECOND AVENUE, CANTON, ILLINOIS, TO CARL T. SIMONS.
WHEREAS, it appeazs to the City Council of the City of Canton, Fulton County,
Illinois, that the territory hereinafter described is located within the corporate limits of the
City of Canton; and,
WHEREAS, a petition was filed by Carl T. Simons to the Planning & Zoning
Commission of said City requesting a special use; and,
WHEREAS, a notice of a petition for a special use permit in a R-2 Single
Family Zoning was published within said City and County, all in accordance with the
Statutes of Illinois, and the ordinances of the City of Canton, and,
WHEREAS, no objectors appeazed at said hearings and said commission did
thereupon make favorable findings of fact and did recommend to the Canton City
Council that said special use/home occupation for a Custom Welding Shop at 724 South
Second Avenue, Canton, Illinois.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF CANTON, FULTON COUNTY, ILLINOIS AS FOLLOWS:
1. That the City Council of the City of Canton, Fulton County, Illinois, hereby
fords the foregoing to be fact.
2. That a special use permit for the home occupation Custom Welding be issued
to Carl T. Simons at 724 South Second Avenue, Canton, Illinois, affecting
real property being legally described as follows:
Lot #406 in Wrights Addition, in the City of Canton, situated in Fulton
County, Illinois.
3. That the record of the City of Canton, approporated documents, maps and
related regulations be and the same hereby are, amended to reflect the
foregoing special use permit granted herein.
PASSED by the City Council of the City of Canton, Fulton County, Illinois, at a
regular meeting this 19th day of February , 2002, upon a roll
call vote as follows:
AYES: Al-dermeri Filling~am, Shores, Meade, West, Sarff, Hartford,
Molleck.
NAYS: None .
