A special meeting of the Canton City Council was held on
November 15, 1989 in council chambers.
PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE OPENED THE NIEETING, FOLLOWED BY THE
INVOCATION GIVEN BY MAYOR DONALD E. EDWARDS.
Mayor Edwards asked for roll call at 6:30 p.m. Present -
Aldermen Kovachevich, Zilly, Steck, Sarff, Bohler, May. Absent
- Aldermen Meade, Chapman.
` PURPOSE OF THE MEETING: To consider and take final action
~ on a Resolution approving a sub-division or re-subdivision
plat of real property for Par Three Development; and, to take
such other and further action in the premises as the City
council may feel appropriate.
RESOLUTION - APPROVING A SUBDIVI~ION OR RESUBDIVI~ION PLAT
OF REAL PROPERTY LOCATED ON NORTH MAIN STREET, CANTON, ILLINOIS
(PAR THREE DEVELOPMENT). First reading, read by title. The
recommendation from the Planning & Zoning Commission is to
accept the Plat of Par Three Subdivision, commonly known as
HyVee shopping center. Motion by Alc~erman Sarff, second by
Alderman Kovachevich, the resolution be adopted. Discussion.
The developer is the owner of the lots, and the buildings
are owned by Par Three Development. A spokesman for Par Three
Development commented that they are looking to sell the HyVee
building to HyVee. When asked, Cliff Sagaser said the parking
lot is adequate and then some. Roll call. AYES - Aldermen
Kovachevich, Zilly, Steck, Sarft, Bohler, May. NAYS - None.
6 AYES 0 NAYS 2 ABSENT. Motion carried. Resolution being
#2086.
ADJOURNMENT: Motion by Alderman Kovachevich, second by Alderman
May, to adjourn. Voice vote, motion carried. Council adjourned
at 6:35 p.m.
