AN ORDINANCE AMENDING TITLE 1 CHAPTER 11 OF THE MUNICIPAL CODE
FOR THE CITY OF CANTON REGARDING THE CITY TREASURER
WHEREAS, the City Council has determined that it is necessary and in the best interest
of the City of Canton to amend Title 1, Chapter 11 of the Municipal Code regazding the City
Treasurer; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council has determined that there shall be office hours set for the
City Treasurer; and,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF CANTON, Fulton County, Illinois, as follows:
1. That the foregoing recitals aze hereby found to be fact.
2. That Title 1, Chapter 11 of the Canton Municipal Code regarding the City Treasurer
hereby amended to read as follows:
OFFICE HOURS:
1-11-13: The City Treasurer shall keep her office at the City Hall, or at such other place as the
City Council may direct and her office hours shall be from eight (8) o'clock a.m. until noon and
from one (1) o'clock p.m. until five (5) o'clock p.m. Monday through Friday of each week.
3. That this Ordinance shall become effective immediately upon its passage by the City
Council of the City of Canton, Fulton County, Illinois, and approval by the Mayor
thereof.
PASSED by the City Council of the City of Canton, Fulton County, Illinois at a regular meeting
this 2nd day of December , 2003, upon a roll call vote as follows:
AYES: E11.derc*~en Reed, Carl, Harn, Sarff, west, Nblleck, Hartford.
NAYS: Vone.
ABSENT: Alderman Fillingham.
