PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE OPENED THE MEETING FOLLOWED BY THE INVOCATION GIVEN BY NANCY WHITES CITY CLERK. Mayor Edwards asked for roll call at 6:30 p.m. Present - Aldermen Kovachevich, Zilly, Steck, Sarff, Meade, Bohler, ' May, Chapman. Absent - None. ~ PURPOSE OF THE MEETING: 1. Consider and take final action on an Amended Resolution approving a$300,000 note between the City of Canton as borrower and the National Bank of Canton, Canton State Bank and Community Bank and Trust Company as lender(s); 2. To consider going into executive session for the purpose of discussing imminent, threatened or pending litigation; and, of discussing the acquistion of real property. Final, public action on one or more of the executive session topics is possible. RESOLUTION - APPROVING A NOTE WITH THE NATIONAL BANK OF CANTON, CANTON STATE BANK AND COMMUNITY BANK AND TRUST COMPANY, (LENDERS) AND THE CITY OF CANTON (BORROWER) First reading, read by title. Jim Malmgren said the National Bank will be the lead bank. This resolution gives a new paragraph 3 and 4. The interest is calculated at 360 days per year. Mot~on ~by Alderman~ Sarff, s~cond by Alderman Mead~, the resolution be adopted. Roll call. AYES -~ldermen Chapman, May, Bohler, Meade, Sarff, Steck, Zilly, Kovachevich. NAYS - None. 8 AYES 0 NAYS 0 ABSENT. Motion carried. Resolution being #2054. EXECUTIVE SESSION - IMMINENT, THREATENED OR PENDING ~ LITIGATION, AND ACQUISITION OF REAL PROPERTY. Motion by Alderman Bohler, second by Alderman Kovachevich, to go into executive session. Voice vote, motion carried. Council recessed at 6:37 p.m. The executive session minutes are on file in the office of the city clerk. ADJOURNMENT - Motion by Alderman Zilly, second by Alderman Sarff, to adjourn.
