AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING "NO PARKING" IN 100 BLOCK OF EAST
SPRUCE IN THE CITY OF CANTON, ILLINOIS
WHEREAS, the Legal and Ordinance Committee of the Canton City Council has
determined that it is necessary, desirable and in the best interest of the City of Canton to
designate "No Parking" on the South side of the 100 Block of East Spruce Street in the
City of Canton; and,
WHEREAS, the Canton City Council has made a similar determination
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF CANTON, Fulton County, Illinois as follows:
1. The forgoing recitals of fact are correct.
2. That "No Parking" shall be on the South side of the 100 Block of East Spruce
Street in the City of Canton.
3. That any persons violating the ordinance shall be fined in accordance with
Section 9-11-1 violations and penalties of the Canton Municipal Code.
4. That this Ordinance shall become effective immediately upon its passage by
the City Council of the City of Canton, Fulton County, Illinois, and approval
by the Mayor thereof.
PASSED by the City council of the City of Canton, Fulton County, Illinois at a
regular meeting this 2lstday of October , 2003, upon a roll call vote as
follows:
AYES: Al.dercnen Reed, Fillin~am, Carl, Harn, Sarff, [Nest, Nblleck,
Hartford.
NAYS: None.
ABSENT: Nome
