AN ORDINANCE RESCINDING TITLE 3, CHAPTER 2, SECTION 8 AND
TITLE 3, CHAPTER 4, SECTION 4 OF THE CANTON MUNICIPAL CODE.
WHEREAS, the Legal and Ordinance Committee has determined that it is
necessary and in the best interest of the City of Canton to rescind Title 3, Chapter 2,
Section 8 and Title 3, Chapter 4, Section 4 of the Canton Municipal Code.
WHEREAS, the Canton City Council has made a similar determination.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF CANTON, Fulton County, Illinois, as follows:
1. That the foregoing recitals aze hereby found to be fact.
2. That the City has deemed that it does not desire to license Antique Dealers or
Auctioneers thus rescinding Title 3, Chapter 2, Section 8 and Title 3, Chapter
4, Section 4 of the Canton Municipal Code.
3. That this Ordinance shall become effective immediately upon its passage by
the City Council of the City of Canton, Fulton County, Illinois, and approval
by the Mayor thereof.
PASSED by the City Council of the City of Canton, Fulton County, Illinois at a regular
meeting this 9thday of October , 2003, upon a roll call vote as follows:
AYES: Aldermen Reed, Fillingham, Carl, Haxn, Saxff, ~dest, Molleck, Hax't~
ford.
NAYS: None.
