AN ORDINANCE GRANTING A SPECIAL USE/HOME OCCUPATION
PERMIT FOR THE OPERATION OF A BEAUTY SHOP AT 1025 EAST
OLIVE STREET, CANTON, ILLINOIS TO IRENE WOODS.
WHEREAS, it appears to the City Council of the City of Canton, Fulton County,
Illinois, that the territory hereinafter described is located within the corporate limits of the
City of Canton; and,
WHEREAS, a petition was filed by Irene Woods to the Planning and Zoning
Commission of said City requesting special use; and ,
WHEREAS, a notice of a petition for a special use permit is a R-2 Multiple
Family Zoning was published within said City and County, all in accordance with the
Statutes of Illinois and the Ordinances of the City of Canton; and,
WHEREAS, no objectors appeazed at said heazing and said commission did
thereupon make favorable findings of fact and did recommend to the Canton City
Council that said special use/home occupation for a Beauty Shop, Reflexology,
Acupressure, Toenail Care, & Mary Kay Cosmetics, at 1025 East Olive Street,
Canton, Illinois.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF CANTON, FULTON COUNTY, ILLINOIS AS FOLLOWS:
That the City Council of the City of Canton, Fulton County, Illinois, hereby
finds the foregoing recitals to be fact.
2. That a special use permit for the home occupation of a Beauty Shop, Reflexology,
Acupressure, Toenail Caze, & Mary Kay Cosmetics, at 1025 East Olive Street,
Canton, Illinois, affecting real property being legally described as follows:
The East One-half (E-1/2) of the West Two-thirds (W-2/3) of Lots Numbered 19, 20 and 21
in B. H. Taylor's Second Addition to the City of Canton, County of Fulton and State of Illinois,
more particularly described as follows: Commencing 61.66 feet East of the Southwest corner
of Lot Number 21, running thence North 126 feet to the North line of Lot Number 19, thence
East 61.66 feet on the North line of said Lot 19, thence South 126 feet to the South line of
Lot Number 21, thence West 61.66 feet to the place of beginning.
3. That the record of the City of Canton, appropriated documents, maps and
related regulations be and the same hereby aze, amended to reflect the
foregoing special use permit granted herein.
PASSED by the City Council of the City of Canton, Fulton County, Illinois, at a regular
meeting this lst day of July , 2003 upon a roll call vote as follows:
AYES: Aldermen Reed, Fillingham, Hann, Sar~f, 1J~st, Iiaxtford,
NAYS: None ,
