AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING "NO PARKING" ON THE NORTH SIDE OF
ELM STREET BETWEEN WHITE COURT AND MAIN STREET IN THE CITY
OF CANTON, ILLINOIS
WHEREAS, the Legal and Ordinance Committee of the Canton City Council has
determined that it is necessary, desirable and in the best interest of the City of Canton to
place a "No Parking" on the North side of Elm Street between White Court and Main
Street in the City of Canton; and,
WHEREAS, the Canton City Council has made a similar detenllination
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF CANTON, Fulton County, Illinois as follows:
1. The forgoing recitals of fact. are carrect.
2. That any persons violating the ordinance shall be fined in accordance with
Section 9-11-1 violatians and penalties of the Canian Municipal Code.
3. That this Ordinance shall become effective immediately upon its passage by
the City Council of the City of C.antan, Fulton County, Illinois, and approval
by the Mayor thereof.
PASSED by the City council of the City of Canton, Fulton County, Illinois at a
regular meeting this 17th day of Jae , 2003, upon a roll call vote as
foiiows:
AYES: Aldermen Reed, Fillinghari, Carl, Harn, Sarff, ?~olleck,
Hartford.
