AN ORDINANCE APPROVING A HIGHWAY AUTHORITY AGREEMENT
BETWEEN THE CITY OF CANTON AND MS. JUDITH LARGENT-JETT FOR
A TIERED APPROACH TO CORRECTIVE-ACTION OBJECTIVES
AGREEMENT
WHEREAS, Ms. Judith Largent-Jett is entering into an agreement with the
Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) as to the correction of an existing
environmental soil contamination site; and,
WHEREAS, it is in the best interest of the City of Canton and its citizens to
correct this environmental soil contamination site; and,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED, by the City Council and the City of
Canton, Fulton County, Illinois:
1. In consideration of Ms. Judith Largent-Jett entering into a plan of a correction of
the soil contamination on her property located at 241 W. Hickory the City of
Canton does agree to enter into a Highway Authority Agreement and a Tiered
Approach to Corrective-Action Objective Agreement. Copy attached
2. That the City Clerk is hereby authorized to sign and forward all oiJicial
documentation pertaining to the agreement.
3. That this Ordinance shall be in full force and effect immediately upon its passage
by the City Council of the City of Canton, Fulton County, Illinois, and approval
by the Mayor thereof.
PASSED by the City Council of the City of Canton, Fulton County, Illinois at a regular
meeting this 2nd day of Jtme , 2003, upon a roll call vote as follows:
