AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING "NO PARKING" IN THE 400 BLOCK OF
EAST BIRCH STREET IN THE CITY OF CANTON, ILLINOIS
WHEREAS, the Legal and Ordinance Committee of the Canton City Council has
determined that it is necessary, desirable and in the best interest of the City of Canton to
place a "No Parking" sign on the North Side of East Birch 25' east of the turn in the
roadway and also on both sides of the short north-south portion of the roadway; and,
WHEREAS, the Canton City Council has made a similar determination
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF CANTON, Fulton County, Illinois as follows:
1. The forgoing recitals of fact are correct.
2. That any persons violating the ordinance shall be fined in accordance with
Section 9-11-1 violations and penalties of the Canton Municipal Code.
3. That this Ordinance shall become effective immediately upon its passage by
the City Council of the City of Canton, Fulton County, Illinois, and approval
by the Mayor thereof.
PASSED by the City council of the City of Canton, Fulton County, Illinois at a
regular meeting this 15thday of April , 2003, upon a roll call vote as
follows:
AYES: Aldermen. Nblleck, Hartford, Sarff, tJest, Carl, Meade, Shores,
Fillingham.
NAYS: None.
ABSENT: None .
