WHF~ EAS, it appears to the City Gouncil of the City of Canton, Illinois, that there is a delinquent special assessment a.~ainst Lot Num- ber 3 of Wesley Ritchey~s Addition to the City of Carton, Fulton County, Illinois, on which the City of Canton has a lien; and WH~?EAS, it appears that the last Bond issued on said assess- ment has long since been due so that no interest has been computed since the date the last Bond is due; TH~t.FFORE, BF IT RF~OLYED BY THI CITY COIINGIL OF THt~, CITY OF CAr?TON, ILLINOISs That the lien of the City of Canton, Illinois, for said special assessment may be released upon the payment of the amount of said assess- ment, the interest thereon until the time the last bond is due and the costs expended by said City in the collection of said assessment. AND THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE' CITY OF CANTON, ILLINOIS: Four Petitioners, Everett D. Anderson and 3arbara J. Anderson, respectfully represent to the City Council: 1. That they are the owners in fee simple of the following described real estate: Lot Number 3 of Wesley Ritchey~s Addition to the City of Canton, situated in the County of Fulton, State of Illinois. 2. That there is a special assessment against said Lot that has been delinquent for a number of years. 3. That the petitioners desire to pay the amount of said as- seasment. 1,.. That any unpaid balance bears interest at the rate of five per centum per ar_num. However, the last bond a~?ainst said assessment has beer_ due for a number of years and does not bear interest sir_ce the due date on said bond. WHEREFORE, the Petitioners respectfully request that the City Council will waive all interest on said assessment since the date on the last bond is due so that the petitioners can pay in full the amount of the assessment, the interest up until the time the last r~ond is due and any costs that the City has expended in the collection of said as- sessment.
