AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING "NO PARKING" IN 400 BLOCK
OF EAST OAK STREET IN THE CITY OF CANTON, ILLINOIS
WHEREAS, the Streets and Garbage Committee of the Canton City
Council has determined that it is necessary, desirable and in the best interest
of the City of Canton to designate "No Parking" on the south side of the 400
Block of East Oak Street in the City of Canton; and,
WHEREAS, the Canton City Council has made a similar
determination
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY
COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CANTON, Fulton County, Illinois as
follows:
1. That the City Council hereby finds the foregoing recitals to be fact.
2. That "No Parking" shall be on the South side of the 400 Block of
East Oak Street in the City of Canton.
3. That any persons violating the ordinance shall be fined in
accordance with Section 9-11-1 violations and penalties of the
Canton Municipal Code.
4. That this Ordinance shall become effective immediately upon its
passage by the City Council of the City of Canton, Fulton County,
Illinois, and approval by the Mayor thereof.
PASSED by the City Council of the City of Canton, Fulton
County, Illinois at a regular meeting this 17tn day of August ,
2004, upon a roll call vote as follows:
AYES: Aldermen 5ar=f, Fil:iingham, Hare, Carl, %tartford, Keeci.
NAYS: None.
ABSENT: Aldermen ~ioliecx., laTOst.
