HT IT RESCLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF TFiE CITY OF CANTON,ILLINOIS:
WHEREAS, May 1st is LAW DAY in the United Staten of Ameriaa,and;
WHEREAS, The United States of America is the bulwark of individual
freedom and liberty the world ®ver; a beaoon of h®pe by
men enslaved by their goverximents and a haven of rest
and 84Part~nity for those who have wan the fight far
precious liberty, and;
WHEREAS The wellspring of individual freed®m and liberty is
body of Law which governs us. The Law- a shield from
tyranny and a protestor for free men in shaping their
personal destiny, and,
WHEREAS, The Constitution of the United Statcs of America is
the heart of that body of law and the supreme law of
our nation. Under that Constitution wa are guaranteed
freed®m of religious belief, freedom to have and bald
property inviolate, freedom of assembly, and freedom
mf speech among mthers.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF CANTON, ILLINOIS THAT,
We, the mayor and individual aldermen
Canton, Illinois, do hereby, together
re-affirm and re-dedicate ourislves t~

which it guarantees, on this May 1st,
