WHEREAS The Board of Supervisors of the County of Fulton and
State of Illinois is contemplating the establishment of a nursing
home in Fulton County, to be known as the FULTON COUNTY NURSING HOME:
AND, WHEREAS the said Board of Supervisors has appointed a

Committee for the purpose find,~a suitable location for said Nursing
Home;
AND, WHEREAS the said Committee has been considering the loca-
tion of said Nursing Home either adjacent to the City Limits of
Canton, Illinois, on Route 78 South, of Canton, or adjacent to the
City Limits of Canton on Route 9 West of Canton;
BE IT THEREFORE RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of
Canton, Illinois, at a regular session of said Council, held in the
Council Room of the City of Canton, Illinois, on the 5th. day of
June, 1.962, as follows:
That if the Board of Supervisors decide to build a Nursing
Home on either of the sites above mentioned, that the City of Canton
will extend a water main to either of the sites so selected by said
Board of Supervisors so that City water can be had at such Nursing
Home; and will, in addition thereto, take action to furnish fire
protection for said Nursing Home by the Fire Department of the
City of Canton, not to exceed a distance of one-half mile fran the City limits.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that this resolution be spread on
the minutes of this meeting, as aforesaid, and. that the City Clerk
cause a certified Copy of this Resolution to be transmitted to the
Clerk. of the Board of Supervisors of Fulton County, to be presented
to said Board of Supervisors at its next meeting to be held at Lewis-
town, Illinois.
Passed by the City Council and approved by the Mayor this
5th. day of June, 1962.
