RE$ULUTION. No. 325
WHEREAS the Board of Local Improvements of the City of Canton,
Illinois., has initiated proceedings for a Special ~ssess~.ent Project
designated as Project 63-A for the purpose of providing for the local
improvement of certain portions of Hickory Street, Holl Street,
Lewis Street, Hanlon Street, Sam Scott Street, and Sixt~ Avenue, all
in the City of Canton, Illinois, by the construction of a two-inch bitum
bituminous concrete surface on a seven-inch compacted gravel or crushed
stone base course with combination concrete curb and gutter and nec-
essary drainage structure and. appurtenances to make a complete im-
provement;
And whereas in said improvement it is necessary to install a
drainage under the railroad tracts of the Chicago, Burlington &
Quincy Railroad Company at "Railroad's Mile Post 03.76, Hickory
Street, Canton, Illinois,"designated as installation of a sixteen
inch (16") cast iron pipe encased in a steel casing pipe, under said
railroad track at said location, said pipe to be used. for conveying
storm water only;
And whereas a contract has been prepared by the said railroad
company to be signed by the Mayor of the City of Canton and said
railroad company;
And whereas it is advisable that said agreement be entered
into and that authorization be given to the Mayor to sign said
agreement for the City of Canton;
TH~REFONE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City 6ouncil of the City
of Canton, Illinois, as follows:
That the Mayor of the City of Canton, be, and he is hereby
authorized to sign said contract herein above described for said
City of Canton and execute the same in his official capacity as
Mayor of said City of Canton.
PASSED by the City Council of Canton, Illinois, and approved
