Resolution authorizing filing of application with the housing and
Home Finance Agency, United States of America, for a grant under the
terms of Public Law 345, 34th Congress, as amended by the Public
Works Acceleration Act.
Whereas, under the terms of said Public Law 345, as amended,
the United States of America has authorized. the making of grants to
public bodies to aici in financing the construction of specific
projects:
Now Therefore, Be It Resolved By the CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY,
OF CANTON, ILLINOIS
1. That the Mayor of the City of Canton, Illinois be and. he
is hereby authorized to execute and. file an application on behalf of
CITY OF CANTON, ILLINOIS, with the Housing and Home Finance Agency,
United States Government, for a grant to aid in in financing and const-
ruction of a sewer system by enlarging, extending, and repairing of
the sewer system in and adjacent to the City of Canton, Illinois.
2. Crawford, Murphy & Tilly, Consulting Engineers, of 755
South Grand Avenue, West, Springfield, Illinois, be and they are here-
by authorized anc~ directed to furnish such information as the Housing
and Home Finance Agency may reasonably request in connection with the
application which is herein authorized to be filed.
PASSED by the City Council of the City of Canton, Illinois,
and approved by the Mayor, this _~~ day of November, 1962.
