WHEREAS, the administration Officials of the ILLINOIS
MIINICIPAL RETIREMENT FUND, have made a ruling requiri~.g
that an Authorized agent be appointed by the City Cov~cil
of the City of C~n.tnn, Illinois, for the purpose of adminis-
~uenrang the local affairs pertaining to the City Retirement
IT IS, THEREFORE, RESUL'~~ED by the City Council of the City
of Canton, Illinois, that the pity Clerk of the City of Can-
ton, NELLIE CRAWFORD, be and she is hereby appointed Authorized
Agent to administer the Retirement Fund for said City of Canton
and its employees, with the following powers:
1. To file payroll reports, pay contributions, file
claims for employees, and advise employees and the City council
of the City of Canton as may from time to time be expedient.
2. To act as agent of the Oity of Canton in the Ill-
inois Municipal Retirement Fund matters.
S. '1'o exercise the management and responsibilities of
said Retirement Fund to the best advantage of both the City of
Canton and its employees.
4. To keep a complete record of all employees of the
City of Canton, including new and terminated employees, their
personal records, their payrolls and other compensation records.
5. To certify whether employees are authorized to par-
ticipate in the Illinois Municipal Retirement Fund.
6. To see that proper employee deductions are withheld
from earnings, and forward the same to the Retirement Fund as
well as to see that muncipality contributions are forwarded
promptly to the Retirement Fund.
7. To furnish the City of Canton such information as
may from time to time be necessary to expedite the proper admin-
istration of such Retirement Fund.
8. To do all acts and things necessary to see that the
Retirement-fund is properly managed and preserved.
PASSED By the City Council of the City of Canton, Ill-
inois, and approved by the Mayor this 5th. day of March, 1963.
