AN ORDINANCE AMENDING 8-11-2 AND 8-11-2 (A) OF THE CANTON
MUNICIPAL CODE REGARDING BOATING LICENSE REQUIRED
WHEREAS, the Lake, Buildings 8c Grounds Committee has determined that it is
necessary and in the best interest of the City of Canton to amend 8-11-2 and 8-11-2 (A)
of the Canton Municipal Code; and,
WHEREAS, the Canton City Council has made a similar determination.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF CANTON, Fulton County, Illinois, as follows:
1. That 8-11-2 Boat Motor Horsepower shall hereby be amended as follows:
Boat Motor Horsepower City Resident Nonresident Daily
40 through 90 $55.00 $90.00 $14.00
2. That 8-11-2 (A): No License shall be issued for any boat or craft temporarily
or permanently equipped with any motor or engine in excess of ninety (90)
horsepower.
3. That this Ordinance shall become effective immediately upon its passage by
the City Council of the City of Canton, Fulton County, Illinois, and approval
by the Mayor thereof.
PASSED by the City Council of the City of Canton, Fulton County, Illinois at a regular
meeting this 20th. day of April 2004, upon a roll call vote as
follows:
AYES: Aldermen ?Zeed, Fillingham, Carl, Sarff, West, Nblleck, Hartford.
NAYS: None.
ABSENT: Alderman Elny Harn
