RESOLUTION FOR IMPROVEMENT BY MUNICIPALITY

UNDER THE ILLINOIS HIGHWAY CODE
BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Canton, Illinois that an
improvement be made to the roadway of West Vine Street, County Highway 21
Extension, from Main Street to the west corporate limits, said i_mprwement
to be designated as Motor Fuel 'l'ax. Section 46-CS, Canton I?~vement and Bridge
Improvement No. 68-B.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED:
1.) That the proposed improvement shall consist of bituminous concrete
resurfacing courses over existing brick pavement and new concrete
base course widening, together with necessary combination curb and
gutter, 36 .beet face to pace new drai.na e structure o e

3.) That said work i_ti to he done by contract.
4.) That a certain portion of the cost, excluding engineering cost, of
the proposed improvement will be assessed against the City of Canton
as public benefits and that it is the intention of the City to pay
such public benefit assessments together with the interest thereon
from the City's allotments of Motor Fuel Tax funds.
5.) That there is hereby appropriated the sum of Seventeen
Thousand and No/100 dollars ($ 17,000.00 to
cover the necessary engineering cost for this section from the City's
allotments of Motor Fuel Tax Lunds.
6.) That the resolution adopted by the City Council on April 25, 1967, and
subsequently approved by the Department on May 10, 1967, for Section
46-CS, is hereby superseded.
