BE IT RESOLVED BY THIS CITY COUNCIL OF THF, CITY OF CANTON, ILLINOIS:
Section 1. That the following street intersections in the City of
Canton, Illinois, are hereby designated as school crossings where the traffic
lights service the following schools, namely:
(a) Intersection of East Oak and South 5th Avenue, servicing
Isaac Swan Grade School;
(b) East Locust Street and North Third Avenue, servicing
St. Ma.ry~s Parochial School;
(c) North Avenue C and West Locust Street, servicing
Hulit Grade School;
(d) Vine Street and North Main Street, servicing John Dean
Grade School„
Section 2. That the City of Canton, Illinois, now has an Ordinance
in effect providing that no vehicle shall be parked within thirty (30) feet
from any controlled intersection as shown by a copy of said Ordinance attached
to this Resolut3.on.
Section ~. That adult guards are posted at school signal lights
during the times that said lights are in operation.
Section 4. That it is the recommendation of the City Council that
no trafficceontrol be installed on North Main Street near the Lincoln School
until side walks are laid on the West side of North Main Street.
