RESOLUTION APPROVING AND PROVIDING FOR THE EXECUTION
OF A PROPOSED AGREEMENT FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF STORM
SEWERS IN THE CITY OF CANTON, ILLINOIS
WHEREAS the state of Illinois, acting through its Department of
Public Works and Buildings, hereinafter called the State has agreed to
contribute a sum of X100,000.00 toward the construction of a storm sewer
in the vicinity of North Ma~:n Street and Locust Street in said City,
provided, that the Cit~r of Canton, Illinois, hereinafter pays the
remainder of the costs, prepares plans, surveys, specifications,
advertises for bids, secures rights-of-way, and maintains the proposed
sewers and perform other matters set forth in said agreement.
WHEREAS the state has provided the City with a written agreement
setting forth terms and provisions which both the State and City
covenant and agree to perform.
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
CANTON, ILLINOIS:
That the Mayor, on behalf of the City is hereby authorized to
execute the said agreement in two counterparts and the City Clerk
be and she is hereby authorized on behalf of the City to attest
the same with her signature and the official seal of said City.
Passed by the City Council this 5th day of March A.D. 1968.
