HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution #552RESOLUTION N0. -=--~`S-~ BE I`C RESOLVED BY THE CITY COi1NCIL OF THE CITY OF CANTON, ILLINOIS: SECTION 1. That for the General Municipal Primary Election in the City of Canton, Illinois, to be held February 23, 1971 and for the nomination of Candidates for the following City Offices Aldermen of Wards One, Two, Three, Four, Five, Six and Seven; and for the General Municipal E]ection to be held on April 20, 1971, for the purpose of electing two Aldermen in said Ward Seven and one Alderman in each of the other of said Wards in said City, the following places in said City for holding said elections are hereby designated: First Ward: St. Mary's Gymnasium, 365 North Third Avenue; Second Ward: John Dean School, 545 North Avenue B; Third Ward: Wallace Park, 250 South Avenue D; Fourth Ward: Community Building, 1002 East Oak Street; Fifth Ward: Grand Army of the Republic Memorial Ha1.1, 45 Sough First; Sixth Ward: Anderson School, 220 South Seventh Avenue; Seventh Ward: Yotulg Men's Christian Association, 1325 East Ash, SECTION 2. That the following persons are hereby appointed as Judges of said Primary Election and said General Election: First Ward: Alice Lucille DeFord, Rosalee Baker, Mary 0. Laird, Beatrice McLaren, and Lorene E. Owings. Second Ward: Beatrice Tomlianovich, Jeanette Burns, Helena Kauzlarich, Betty Travers, and Mary Todd. Third Ward: Lucille W}iitehead, Ruth White, Donita Ellsworth, Joann Hoff, and Irma Salisbury Fourth Ward: Mary Johnson, Marilee Amerine, Vernice Slater, Hazel Stambaugh, and Mabel Whitmore Fifth Ward: Gertrude Roudebush, Ru~~y Pollitt, Bernadine Heffren, Viola Kuhn, and Mary Dallefeld Sixth Ward: Zelpha Grzanich, Louise Grzanich, Barbara Yurkovich, Vera Rogers, and Ann Yurkovich. Seventh Ward : Iva Waddell, Sally Kuhn, Joan Bankes, Barbara Braden, and Leota Lingenfelter SECTION 3. That the City Clerk of said City is hereby authorized and directed to give notice and to do and perform all other acts on her part ~~ecessary or required to provide for the holding of said elections in manner and form as prescribed by law.
