HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution #556` ,'' .~ RESOLUTION N0. ~`S~ '~ BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CANTON, ILLINOIS AS FOLLOWS: That the plat of Sections I, J, K. and L of the plat of Forest Lawn Addition to Greenwood Cemetery, authorized by Resolution No. 134, passed by the City Council and approved by the Mayor November 4, 1947, and as subsequently recorded as Instrument No. 320509 in Book 4, Page 1 of the Fulton County Land Records, be and the same hereby is, rescinded subject to the rights of any person who has purchased lots or plats in accordance with and in reliance thereon. That the replat of Section I, J, K, L, M and N of said Forest Lawn Addition be, and the same hereby are, APPROVED. It is further ordered and directed that-the proper authori- ties of this City shall record said replat in the Fulton County Land Records. PASSED by the City Council and approved by the Mayor this day of March, A.D. 1971. ~ -w~ APPROVED: a o /~ ~ ~ ~ ~~ ~--~ ~ -~~ ATTEST : ~~~2~~ d Minutes from Greenwood Cemetery Board meeting l ~' •^~ Presented to `'ity council Mar. 2, 1971 A meeting of the Board of Cemetery Managers was called on March 1, 1971 for the purpose of considering possible changes to certain sections of Forest Lawn Addition to the Cemetery. After discussion, with all trustees present, it having been made to appear that no purchases or interments have been made for or in Sections I, J, K, and L of the plat of Forest Lawn Addition to Greenwood Cemetery, as shown by plat recorded as Instrument No. 320509 in Book 4, Page 1 of the Fulton County Land Records, it was unanimously resolved that the plat of these Sections should be rescinded, subject to approval of the City Council. It was further unanimously resolved that a replat of the realty involved in said Sections, identified in said replat as Sections I, J, K, L, M and N of said Forest Lawn Addition, should be, and the same was approved and adopted and recommended to the City Council for approval, adoption and recordation. It was further resolved that the trustees or some of them should appear at the next meeting of the City Council for the purpose of explaining and recommending said replat for approval of the Council.
