RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING FILING OF APPLICATION WITH STATE
OF ILLINOIS ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION AGENCY FOR STATE
GRANT FOR SEWAGE TREATMENT WORKS UNDER THE ANTI-POLLUTION
BOND ACT OF 1970.
WHEREAS, the State of Illinois, by terms of the Anti-
Pollution Bond Act of 1970, has authorized the making of grants to
public bodies to aid in financing the construction of sewage treat-
ment plant improvements projects,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE I:T, AND IT HEREBY IS RESOLVED by the City
Council of the City of Canton, Illinois as follows:
1. That the Mayor of the City of Canton, Illinois, be,
and he is hereby authorized to execute and file an application on
behalf of City of Canton, Illinois with the State of Illinois
Environmental Protection Agency for a State grant, to aid in
financing the construction of improvements an d extensions to City
of Canton, Illinois sewer systems, and any assurance of compliance
with applicable laws and regulations which may be needed or required
under said Act.
2. That the Mayor of the City of Canton, Illinois, be and
he is hereby authorized and directed to furnish such information
as the State of Illinois Environmental Protection Agency may
reasonably request in connection with the application which is herein
authorized to be filed.
PASSED by the City Council and approved by the Mayor this
18th day of MaY , A.D. 1971.

CERTIFICATE OF RECORDING OFFICER
The undersigned duly qualif ied and acting Clerk of the
City of Canton, Illinois does hereby certify: That the foregoing
and attached resolution is a true and correct copy of the Resolution,
authorizing the filing of application with the State of Illinois
Environmental Protection Agency, as regularly adopted at a legally
convened meeting of the City Council of said City duly held on
the 18th day of May, 1971; and further that such Resolution has
been u t~recorded in the journal of proceedings and records in
my office.
