HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution #582 ' f -b s : , ' RESOLUTION ~_- ~" /~---~ ~2 Resolution for the local improvements of Second Avenue, Third Avenue and East Chestnut Street, in the City of Canton, Illinois, and designated as "Canton Pavement Improvement No. 72A." Be It Resolved by the Board of Local Improvements of the City of Canton, Illinois: That a local improvement be and 'the same .hereby is originated to be mace by special assessment within the City of Canton, County of Fulton, and State of Illinois, as provided by Article 9, Division 2, of the Cities and Villages Act, to be known as "Canton Pavement Improvement No. 72A." The nature, location, character, extent, and estimated cost of which local improvement is as follows, to wit: That .the said improvement shall be constructed in conformance with the plans bearing date of November 11, 1971, prepared by Crawford, Murphy & Tilly, Inc., Consulting Engineers, Springfield, Illinois. That the sail improvement of the streets and avenues .hereafter described be improved by the construction of a bituminous concrete binder and surface courses over brick pavement, asphalt pavement and proposed bituminous aggregate mixture base course widening, combination curb and gutter, storm .sewers, together with necessary drainage structures and appurtenances. That the pavements herein provided to be constructed on .Second Avenue from Locust Street, to Elm Street; Third Avenue from Locust Street, to Elm Street; Chestnut Street from Second Avenue, to Fifth Avenue shall be uniformly 40.0 feet in width as .measured between front face of curbs. In all .respects the construction shall conform to the requirements as set forth in .the "Standard Specifications for Road and Bridge Construction," pre- pared by the Department of Public Works and Buildings of the .State of Illinois, and adopted by said Department January 2, 1971, and revisions and additions thereto.. That the estimated cost of said improvement, including all necessary labor; materials, tools and equipment for the construction of said improvement, as made by the Engineer of this Board, is One .Hundred Ninety Two Thousand, Five Hundred and No/100 Dollars ($192,500.00) which said estimate is itemized as follows: 7127-02 _F ,~ - BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the estimate aforesaid is itemized to the satisfaction of this Board and the same is approved and ordered made a part of this Resolution. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the 14th day of February, A. D. 1972, at the hour of 6:30 P.M. in tl~e Council Chamber,~of the City Building of the City of Canton, Illinois, located at 210 East Chestnut Street, Canton, Illinois, be fixed as the time and place for the public consideration thereof. BE IT FURTHER/RESOLVED, that notices of the time and place of such public consideration be prepared and mailed within the time and in the manner pre- scribed by law. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that this Resolution be at once transcribed and spread upon the records of this Board. ADOPTED this 31st day of January, A. D. 1972. U (ROBERT F.
