WHEREAS, Richard M. Fulton, was duly elected Alderman by
the Citizens of the City of Canton, Illinois and in that capacity
has served them well and honorably; and,
WHEREAS, for reasons beyond his control, Richard M. Fulton,
has resigned. as Alderman prior to the expiration of the term for
which he was elected; and,
WHEREAS, proper decorum and respect for individuals who have
served this City in a representative capacity sometimes requires
special manifestation of appreciation,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT AND IT HEF~EBY IS RESOLVED BY THE
MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CANTON, ILLINOIS AS FOLLOWS:
1. That the appreciation of the City of Canton, Illinois
for the services of Richard M. Fulton as Alderman and his value in
such capacity is hereby declared and by means hereof manifested for
preservation in the records and annals of this City.
2. That a duplicate original copy hereof, signed by the
Mayor and attested by the City Clerk and, further, signed by such
of the Aldermen of this City as may be, shall be delivered to
Richard M. Fulton so that he and his loved ones may have tangible
evidence of the gratitude herein expressed.
PASSED BY THE UNANIMOUS VOTE OF THE CITY COUNCIL .AND SIGNED
BY THE MAYOR THIS 15th DAY OF AUGUST, A.D. 1972. ,
