RESOLUTION N0. -~
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CANTON,
ILLIlVOIS
SECTION 1. That for the General Municipal Primary Election
in the City of Canton, Illinois, to be held February 27, 1973 and
for the nomination of Candidates for the following City Off ices:
Mayor; City Clerk; City Treasurer; and, one Alderman for each of
Wards One, Two, Three, Four, Five, Six and Seven; and for the
General Municipal Election to be held on April 17, 1973, for the
purpose of electing a Mayor, City Clerk, City Treasurer and one
Alderman for each of Wards One, Two, Three, Four, Five, Six and
Seven in said City, the following places in said City for holding
said elections are hereby designatEd:
First Ward: St. Maryts Gymnasium, 365 North Third Avenue;
Second Ward: John Dean School, 545 North Avenue B;
Third Ward: Wallace Park, 250 South Avenue D;
Fourth Ward: Community Building, 1002 East Oak Street;
Fifth Ward: Grand Army of the Republic Memorial Hall, 45
South First;
Sixth Ward : Community Workshop, 6~.7 E. Pine St.;
Seventh Ward: Canton Junior High School, 1605 East Ash,
SECTION 2. That the following persons are hereby appointed
as Judges of said Primary Election and said General Election:
First Ward: Beatrice McLaren, Vivian Hubbard, Rosalee
Baker, Mary 0. Laird, and Lorene E. Owings.
Second .Ward : Beatrice Tomlianovich, Jeanette Burns, Helena Kauzlarich,
Betty Travers, and Mary Todd.
Third Ward : Lucille G~lhitehead, Ruth White, Donita Ellsworth, Joann
Hoff, and Irma Salisbury.
Fourth Ward : Mary Johnson, M<~rilee Amerine, Vernice Slater, Hazel
Stambaugh, and Mabel ~~~Thitmore.
Fifth Ward : Mrs. Gertru~e ~, de~u~ Mr~. Ru~,y PQ1]~i.tt, Mrs. Viola

Sixth Ward: Zelpha Grzanich, Louise Grzanich, Barbara Yurkovich,
Vera Rogers, and Lucille Geesemen
Seventh Ward: Iva Waddell, Bally Kuhn, Joann Bankes, Barbara
Braden, and Leota Lingenf elter
SECTION 3. That the City Clerk of said City is hereby
authorized and directed to give notice and to do and perform all
other acts on her part necessary or required to provide for the
holding of said elections in manner and form as prescribed by law,
PASSED by the City Council and approved by the Mayor this
