RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO ACCEPT A GRANT
OFFER OIL BEHALF OF' THE CITY I~; `1'l?E MINT;, OI' A
FEDERAL GRANT FOR SEWAGE WO~u<S CO::S~1P..uC'i'ION
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL GF :' CI"~~' ~~ ' C;",^~'~GN, .,:,--~;O1S
AS FOLLOWS:
WHEREAS, the City of Canton, Illinois has received an offer for
Federal Grant for Sewage Works through the United States Environmental
Protection Agency as represented by the I11irois Environmental Protec~ ;
Agency;
AND WHEREAS, the United States Environmental Protection Agency and the
Illinois Environmental Protection Agency has requested that the City Council of
the City of Canton pass a resolution authorizing the Mayor of the City of
Canton to act on behalf of the said City of Canton in accepting on offer for
such aid and acting in behalf of the City in future matters pertaining to this
aid;
AND WHEREAS, to avoid additional resolutions from time to time to be
passed by the City Council of Canton, Illinois, the Mayor is also authorized
to act on behalf of the City of Canton in aii future matters connected with
the City's application for a Federal and/or State Grant to construct sewage
works;
WHEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Mayor of the City of Canton, be
and he is hereby authorized to represent the City of Canton :gin accepting grant
offers for said State and Federal Grant and is furt;,er authorized to act or.
behalf of the City of Canton, Illinois, in all futr:re maters connected with
the City's application for a Federal and/or State Grant to construct sewage
works.
