RES OLU T I ON '`
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Canton, Illinois
has heretofore advertised for bids to extend water and sewer to
Spoon River College (a project or activity otherwise identified as
"HUD Project No. WS-Ill-263"); and,
WHEREAS, the bid of Bill V. Martin Construction Co., Bloomington,
Illinois in the amount of X290,822.20 was the lowest responsible base
bid therefor submitted,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT, AND IT HEREBY IS RESOLVED by the City
Council of the City of Canton, Illinois that the base bid of said
Bill V. Martin Construction Co., in said amount of X290,822.20 is
hereby accepted, subject, however, to the approval and concurrence
of the United States Department of Housing and Urban Development.
BE IT AND IT HEREBY IS FURTHER RESOLVED THAT the Mayor and
City Clerk of this City be and they hereby are authorized and directed,
contingent on the approval and concurrence aforesaid first had3to
enter into, execute and deliver such enabling papers and contracts
on behalf of this City as may be necessary to implement the
construction contemplated in the premises hereof.
BE IT FURTHER B,ESOLVED that the United States Department
of Housing and Urban Development be provided a certified copy of
this Resolution by the City Clerk.
PASSED by the City Council of the City of Canton, Illinois
and approved by the Mayor thereof this ,~D ~ day of March, 1973.
