(A RESOLUTION RECOGNIZING AND PERPETUATING APPRECIATION OF THE CITY
OF CANTON, ILLINOIS FOR THE SERVICES OF DELBERT FREEMAN.)
WHEREAS, the Corporate authorities of the City of Canton,
Illinois are appreciative and mindful of the good services rendered
this City by employees and officers; and,
WHEREAS, Delbert Freeman,for many years last past, has served
the City of Canton, Illinois as Lake Custodian; and,
WHEREAS, his services in this capacity have been diligent
and, many times, self-sacrif icing; and,
WHEREAS, Delbert Freeman, following his 83rd birthday, has
elected and determined to retire and to leave his employment with
said City,
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT, AND IT HEREBY IS RESOLVED by the Mayor
and City Council of the City of Canton, in formal meeting assembled,
as follows:
1. That the services rendered by Delbert Freeman to the
City of Canton, Illinois have at all times been faithful and exemplary.
2. That recognition thereof is hereby proclaimed for perpetua-
tion in the annals and records of this City.
BE IT, AND IT HEREBY IS, FURTHER RESOLVED AS FOLLOWS:
That a certified copy of this Resolution be provided to
Delbert Freeman for such use by him and his family as may hereafter

and APPROVED by the Mayor thereof this 24th day of April, A.D. 1973.
