WHEREAS, the Corporate Authorities of the City of Canton,
Illinois believe it to be to the best interests of said City that a
study be conducted for the purpose of preparing a major street plan
and report thereof for subsequent use by said City; and,
WHEREAS, an application for a highway safety project grant
has heretofore been submitted to said City, together with a proposed
AGREEMENT FOR ENGINEERING SERVICES by Crawford, Murphy & Tilly,
Consulting Engineers for said City; and,
WHEREAS, the Corporate Authorities of said City at the regular
meeting thereof held November 20, 1973, by Motion duly set forth in
the minutes of said meeting, did thereby approve said APPLICATION and
said AGREEMENT and did then authorize said City to enter into said
Agreement; and,
WHEREAS, pursuant thereto, the Mayor and City Clerk of said
City did in fact enter into said AGREII-'IENT on behalf of said City;
and,
WHEREAS, it has been now made to appear that a Resolution
approving said APPLICATION and said AGREEMENT is or may be needed to
make implementation in the premises hereof
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT, AND IT IH';REBY IS RESOLVED BY THE CORPORATE
authorities of the City of Canton, Illinois as follows:
That said APPLICATION and said AGREEMENT be, and the same
hereby are, approved and that the Mayor of this City be, and he hereby
is, authorized to enter into said Agreement on behalf of the City of
Canton, Illinois and, further, that all prior acts with respect thereto
be, and the same hereby are approved and ratified.
PASSED by the City Council of the City of Canton, Illinois and
APPROVED by the Mayor thereof this 18th day of December, A.D. 1973.
