RESOLUTION NO. 36.0
A RESOLUTION APPROVING SPECIFIC SALARIES FOR THE VARIOUS
DEPARTFviENT HEADS, SL'>rrERiivTEl'v'DE~1TS, FULL TIME APPOINTIVE
EMPOLOYEES AND PART TIME APPOINTIVE EMPLOYEES OF THE CITY OF
CANTON
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Canton, Illinois has Approved Appointment
and finds that it is necessary, desirable and in the best interest of the City of Canton to set
specific salaries for the appointive employees of the City of Canton; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council for the City of Canton, lllinois has determined that for the
current time it is appropriate to continue the salazies at the level established for the past year with
the salaries to be reviewed after approval of the Fiscal Budget, the adoption of the
Appropriations Ordinance and the conclusion of the Police Contract negotiations. Said salaries
being set forth in Exhibit A, which is hereto attached and herein incorporated by reference.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF CANTON, Fulton County, Illinois as follows:
That the salaries for the various department heads, superintendents, full time appointive
employees and pazt time appointive employees of the City of Canton, Illinois, said
salaries being set forth in Exhibit A hereto attached and herein incorporated by reference,
are hereby approved. Said salazies aze to be effective as of and retroactive to and
inclusive of the date of May 1, 2003. Further, that said salaries are in addition to other
emoluments and entitlements normally and customarily extended to each such employee.
The City Council reserves the right to review the salaries far the Fiscal Year 2003-2004
after the approval of the Fiscal Budget, the adoption of the Appropriations Ordinance and
the conclusion of the Palice Contract. Negotiatians. Upan review of the salaries the City
Council reserves the right to make the salaries retroactive May I, 2003.
2. That this Resolution shall be in full force and in effect inunediately upon its passage by
the City Council of the City of Canton, Illinois and approval by the Mayor thereof.
PASSED by the City Cauncil of the City of Cantan, Illinois and approved by the Mayor thereat
this 3rd day of Jtme , 2003.
