RESOLUTION N0.
A RESOLUTION providing for the adoption of a final
commercial redevelopment plan for the elimination
of a commercial blight area within the City of -
Canton, and providing for publication and public
inspection of the final redevelopment plan.
WHEREAS the City of Canton, Illinois (hereinafter re-
ferred to as the."City") is authorized by The Commercial Renewal
and Redevelopment Areas Act, appearing as Division 74.2 of Article
11 of the Illinois Municipal Code, as amended (hereinafter re-
ferred to as the "Act"), to formulate and publish a final com-
mercial redevelopment plan, approved by a 2/3 majority vote of
Citizens Committee, for the City; and
WHEREAS, the City has conducted an initial .study and sur-
vey pursuant to Resolution No. 663 to determine whether there
exists a commercial blight area within the City; has set forth
the boundaries of the blight area found to exist, and the
factors which make it such by Resolution No. 666 ; has
formulated a proposed commercial redevelopment plan for the
elimination of the blight area and has held a public hearing
on the same, all with the assistance of a representative 10
member Citizens Committee duly appointed pursuant to Resolution
No. 663; and
WHEREAS the Citizens Committee has by 2/3 majority vote
of its members approved the final commercial redevelopment plan;
NOW THEREFORE, Be it Resolved by the City Council of
the City of Canton, Fulton County, Illinois as follows:

Section 1. That the final commercial redevelopment plan
as approved by 2/3 majority vote of the representative Citizens
- Committee, attached hereto as Exhibit A, is hereby adopted and
approved;
Section 2. That the final commercial redevelopment plan
be published and made available for public inspection for a
period of at least 30 days following its publication.
Section 3. That if there is no challenge to the final
commercial redevelopment plan within 30 days from the date of
the publication of the final commercial land use went plan,
the City shall proceed to implement the~plan,adp~gted b~ Hrdinance No. 472,
