A RESOLUTION APPROVING A SPECIFIC SALARY FOR THE PUBLIC WORKS
DIRECTOR AND SUPERINTENDENTS UNDER HIS DIRECTION
WHEREAS, the Mayor with consent of the City Council of the City of Canton, Illinois
shall appoint a Public Works Director and Superintendents under his direction and it is in the
best interest of the City of Canton to set a specific salary for the Public Works Director and
Superintendents under his direction; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council for the City of Canton, Illinois has reviewed the proposed
salary for said Public Works Director and the Superintendents under his direction; and,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF CANTON, Fulton County, Illinois as follows:
1. That the salary for the Public Works Director of the City of Canton, Illinois, said
salary being $56,000 hereby approved. Said salary is to be effective as of and
retroactive to and inclusive of the date of October 1, 2002.
2. That the salary for the Water Superintendent, Street Superintendent, and the
System Maintenance Superintendent of the City of Canton, Illinois, said salary
being $43,764 hereby approved. Said salary is to be effective as of and
retroactive to and inclusive of the date of October 1, 2002.
3. That the salary for the Wastewater Superintendent of the City of Canton, Illinois,
said salary being $43,764 hereby approved. Said salary is to be effective as of
and retroactive to and inclusive of the date of December 27, 2002.
4. That this Resolution shall be in full force and effect immediately upon its passage
by the City Council of the City of Canton, Fulton County, Illinois and approval by
the Mayor thereof.
PASSED by the City Council of the City of Canton, Fulton County, Illinois at a regular
meeting this 7th day of January , 2003 upon a roll call vote as follows:

NAYS: None.
ABSENT: Alderr.~en Meade, Nblleck.
