AN ORDINANCE APPROVING THE PURCHASE OF A NEW TRACTOR
WHEREAS,the City of Canton, Fulton County, Illinois ("City"), is a non-home rule unit
of government;
WHEREAS, the City is in need of a new tractor, to be used for public purposes,
particularly at the City's water plant;
WHEREAS,upon purchase of the new tractor,the City's existing John Deere 6200(Serial
# C04039T183325; Product ID# L06200H134774) will no longer be necessary or useful to the
City;
WHEREAS, the City has obtained bids in relation the purchase of a new tractor;
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Canton has determined that it is necessary
and in the best interests of the City to purchase of one(1)new tractor and other options/accessories
("Tractor") for the City of Canton, as described in"Exhibit A," from Midwest Equipment.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE MAYOR AND THE CITY
COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CANTON, FULTON COUNTY, ILLINOIS AS FOLLOWS:
1. The City of Canton hereby finds as fact the recitals set forth above and are incorporated
herein as though fully set forth;
2. The bid for the purchase of the Tractor for $61,686.82, as described in "Exhibit A," plus
necessary taxes,titles, and fees, is hereby APPROVED;
3. The Mayor, or his designee, is hereby authorized to execute and deliver any and all
purchase agreements, purchase orders, or other documents necessary to purchase one (1)
Tractor as described in "Exhibit A";
4. The Mayor, or his designee, is hereby authorized to trade-in one of the City's existing
tractors (John Deere 6200, Serial # C04039TI83325 Product ID # 1,0620011134774) to
apply towards the purchase price of the Tractor(which is included in the total above);
5. This Ordinance shall be in full force and effective immediately upon its passage by the City
Council of the City of Canton and approval by the Mayor thereof.
PASSED AND APPROVED THIS 16th day of January, 2024.

The City of Canton is accepting bids for a new tractor for use at the Water Treatment Plant
located at 25495 Lakeshore drive in Canton Illinois.The City is wishing to trade its existing John
Deere 640 serial#C04039T183325 Product ID# L06200H134774
With credit applying to the purchase of the new machinery.
The tractors package will include the necessary PTO horsepower required to operate the various
additional accessories as described. The tractor will be of a Cab with A/C, heat, and windshield
wipers. 4x4 limited slip, 12x12 power shuttle transmission, Duel mid valves, 3pt. hitch ground
controls, 2 remote 4 coupler hydraulics, 3rd function, and R3 tread style 6ply fluid filled tires. Rev
assist.
The following accessories for the tractor will be provided with any and all additional accessories
that are required for connections to the tractor.
12 Foot Bat Wing Mower. (, 10ga steel deck, Solid laminated wheel, Standard warranty)
Self-Leveling Loader Bucket. ( *82 inch or equivalent, quick connect, cutting edge front blade,
Welded hooks on front, Standard warranty)
Brush Grapple (72 inch or equivalent, quick connect, Standard Warranty, replacement teeth)
Pallet forks (48 inch adjustable span, quick connect, Standard Warranty)
