WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Canton, Illinois has taken action to submit an
Illinois Community Development Assistance Program (CDAP) planning assistance
application,
WHEREAS, receipt of CDAP grant assistance is essential to allow the City of Canton to
undertake the project of a sanitary sewer system planning grant,
WHEREAS, criteria of CDAP aze such that financial participation by the grantee is
required in conjunction with CDAP funds, and
WHEREAS, the City of Canton has certain monies allocated for the above-referenced
project with cash on hand, as needed.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT the City of Canton does hereby
commit funds for use in conjunction with an Illinois Community Development
Assistance Program grant, such funds equal to 5.6% of the estimated total project cost of
$26,500, or $1,500. These local funds will be provided through:
PASSED AND APPROVED at its regulaz City Council meeting, held on the 7~'
day of September, 2004.
