RESOLUTION NO. --~5-3
A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY OF CANTON TO HAVE
REGULAR OR RE-OCCURRING MONTHLY BILLS AUTO DEBITED
WHEREAS, the auditing firm for the City of Canton has made a
recommendation, based on a 2003 audit finding, that the City pay regular or re-occurring
bills by auto debit to avoid past due balances; and,
WHEREAS, the Finance Committee has determined that it is necessary and in
the best interest of the City of Canton that the City authorize regulaz or re-occurring
monthly bills auto debited to comply with audit findings; and,
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and the City Council of the
City of Canton, Illinois as follows:
1. That the City of Canton shall have regulaz or re-occurring monthly bills
paid by auto debit approval hereto attached as "Exhibit A"
2. That the City Treasurer is herby authorized and directed to execute
documentation for each entity in "Exhibit A".
3. That this Resolution shall be in full force and effect immediately upon its
passage by the City Council of the City of Canton, Fulton County, Illinois
and approval by the Mayor thereof.
PASSED by the City Council of the City of Canton, Fulton County, Illinois at a regulaz
meeting this 17thday of February , 2004 upon a roll call vote as follows:
