AN ORDINANCE GRANTING A SPECIAL USE PERMIT/HOME
OCCUPATION PERMIT TO ALLOW MASSAGE THERAPY BUSINESS
IN THE HOME LOCATED AT 529 E. MYRTLE STREET
WHEREAS, it appears to the City Council of the City of Canton, Fulton
County, Illinois, that the territory hereinafter described is located within the
corporate limits of the City of Canton; and,
WHEREAS, a petition was filed by Rachelle Lee Yates to the Planning &
Zoning Commission of said City requesting a special use/home occupation permit;
and,
WHEREAS, no objectors appeared at said hearing and said commission did
thereupon make favorable findings of fact and did recommend to the Canton City
Council that said special use/home occupation to allow a massage therapy business
in the home located at 529 E. Myrtle Street, Canton, Illinois.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF CANTON, FULTON COUNTY, ILLINOIS AS
FOLLOWS:
1. That the City Council of the City of Canton, Fulton County,
Illinois, hereby finds the foregoing recitals to be fact.
2. That special use/home occupation to allow a massage therapy business in
the home located at 529 E. Myrtle Street, Canton, Illinois, affecting real
property being legally described as follows:
Lot 1 in Block Two in U.G. Orendorff s Sub-division a part of the
Northwest Quarter of Section 26, Township 7 North, Range 4 East of the
Fourth Principal Meridian, situated in Fulton County, Illinois
3. That the record of the City of Canton, appropriated documents,
maps and related regulations be and the same hereby are, amended to reflect
the foregoing special use permit granted herein.
PASSED by the City Council of the City of Canton, Fulton County, Illinois, at a
regular meeting this ~ na day of .T,~ n P , 2009 upon a roll call vote as
follows:
AYES: Aldermen Reed, Schenck, West, Sarff, Rivero, Ellis,
Hartford, Strandberg.
NAYS: None .
