AN ORDINANCE GRANTING A SPECIAL USE PERMIT/HOME
OCCUPATION PERMIT TO ALLOW PHOTO STUDIO IN HOME
LOCATED AT 56 SOUTH AVENUE B
WHEREAS, it appears to the City Council of the City of Canton, Fulton
County, Illinois, that the territory hereinafter described is located within the
corporate limits of the City of Canton; and,
WHEREAS, a petition was filed by Angela Jo Oakman to the Planning &
Zoning Commission of said City requesting a special uselhome occupation permit;
and,
WHEREAS, no objectors appeared at said hearing and said commission did
thereupon make favorable findings of fact and did recommend to the Canton City
Council that said special use/home occupation to allow a photo studio in home
located at 56 South Avenue B, Canton, Illinois.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF CANTON, FULTON COUNTY, ILLINOIS AS
FOLLOWS:
1. That the City Council of the City of Canton, Fulton County,
Illinois, hereby finds the foregoing recitals to be fact.
2. That special use/home occupation to allow a photo studio in home
located at 56 South Avenue B, Canton, Illinois, affecting real property being
legally described as follows:
Lots 15 and 16 of Hulit Subdivision and Lot 24 in French's Addition to the
town, known as the City of Canton, situated in Fulton County, Illinois
3. That the record of the City of Canton, appropriated documents,
maps and related regulations be and the same hereby are, amended to reflect
the foregoing special use permit granted herein.
PASSED by the City Council of the City of Canton, Fulton County, Illinois, at a
regular meeting this 5th day of ..May , 2009 upon a roll call vote as
follows:
AYES: Aldermen Schenck Sarff, West, Ellis, Ihnes, Strandberg.
NAYS: None .
ABSENT: Alderman Berardi .
