AN ORDINANCE GRANTING A SPECIAL USE PERMIT TO ALLOW
MULTI-FAMILY DWELLINGS ON 2"d FLOOR of the COMMERCIAL
BUILDING LOCATED AT 3, 5, & 15 EASTSIDE SQUARE
WHEREAS, it appears to the City Council of the City of Canton, Fulton
County, Illinois, that the territory hereinafter described is located within the
corporate limits of the City of Canton; and,
WHEREAS, a petition was filed by CGI Real Estate Holdings, LLC to the
Planning & Zoning Commission of said City requesting a special use; and,
WHEREAS, no objectors appeared at said hearing and said commission did
thereupon make favorable findings of fact and did recommend to the Canton City
Council that said special use to allow multi-family dwellings on 2°d floor of the
commercial building located at 3, 5, & 15 Eastside Square, Canton, Illinois.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF CANTON, FULTON COUNTY, ILLINOIS AS
FOLLOWS:
1. That the City Council of the City of Canton; Fulton County,
Illinois, hereby f nds the foregoing recitals to be fact.. .
2. That special use to allow multi-family dwellings on 2"d floor of
the commercial building located at 3, 5, & I S Eastside Square, Canton,
Illinois, affecting real property being legally described as follows:
. Apart of Lot Number Fourteen (14) in Jones First. Addition to the Town, now City of Canton,
more particularly described as follows; Commencing at the Northwest corner of that part of~said
lot formerly owned by the heirs of Peter Snyder, deceased, then running North 22-1/2 feet,
thence east to the East line of said lot, thence South 22-1/2 feet, thence West to the point of
beginning, said point being located 46 feet and 10 inches North of the Southwest corner of said
Lot i4; all situated.in the .City of Canton, County'of Fulton and State of Illinois and also: 46 feet
