WHEREAS, the Corporate Authorities of the City of Canton, Illinois heretofore
enacted Ordinance No. 426, which inter alia, provided for the issuance of sewer
bonds as general obligation bonds against the City of Canton, Fulton County,
Illinois and which, further, provided a levy therefor in the amount of $82,312.50
for the year 1974 with directions to the County Clerk of Fulton County, Illinois
to provide this amount for such purpose and for said year of 1974; and,
WHEREAS, it now appears that the City of Canton, Illinois has available the
sum of $82,312.50 for application to the payment of principal and interest on
said bonds and so that it is not now necessary to raise this amount by taxation
for the year 1974 as provided in said Ordinance No. 426; and,
WHEREAS, by reason thereof, taxes to be spread by the County Clerk of Fulton
County, Illinois, for the year 1974, may and ought to be abated in that amount,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT, AND IT HEREBY IS RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF CANTON, ILLINOIS: that the tax levy for the year 1974 for the purpose
of paying principal and interest on sewer bonds of said City, constituting
general obligations of said City be, and the same hereby is, abated in the amount
of $82,312.50 for the year 1974 and the County Clerk of Fulton County, Illinois
is hereby advised, directed and authorized not to extend the sum of $82,312.50
of said tax levy provided, however, that this Resolution shall not in any manner
affect the tax levies by said tax Ordinance No. 426 provided for any year except-
ing said ye~.r of 1974.
BE IT, AND IT HER~;BY IS, FURTHER RESOLVED: that the City Clerk of this City
is hereby directed to file with the County Clerk of Fulton County, Illinois a
certified copy of this Resolution as his authority to abate the taxes for this
year 1974 in the amount above provided.
PASSED by the City Council of the City of Canton, Illinois and APPROVED by the

Canton, in the County of Fulton, and State of Illinois,
do hereby certify that as the City Clerk of the City of
Canton, I am the keeper of records, minutes, ordinances
and other books, records and papers of said City, and
that the foregoing is a true and correct copy of the
Resolution (No. 671) adopted by the City of Council of
said City and approved by the Mayor on the 7th day of
January A. D. 1975, and recorded according to law, as
the same appears from the records in my office remaining.
