A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY OF CANTON, ILLINOIS,
TO SUBMIT A COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT PROGRAM
APPLICATION IN THE AMOUNT OF $500,000 FOR THE SECOND
YEAR'S FUNDING.
WI-IEREAS, the city of Canton, Illinois, is desirous of submitting a Community
Development Block Grant Program Application in the amount of $500,000 for the
second year's funding; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council of the city of Canton, Illinois, deems it necessary and
advisable to submit to the Department of Housing and Urban Development the above-
mentioned application, including all understandings and assurances attached thereto.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY 'TIIE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CANTON, ILLINOIS:
That the city of Canton, Illinois, be, and it is, hereby
authorized and directed to submit to the Department of
Housing and Urban Development an application, including
all understandings and assurances attached thereto, in
the amount of $500,000 for the second year's funding
under the Community Development Block Grant Program.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Mayor as chief executive
officer be, and he is, hereby authorized and directed to
execute the above-mentioned application and all necessary
documentation attached thereto for and on behalf of the
city of Canton, Illinois.
PISSED by the City Council of the city of Canton, Illinois, ~,nd APPROVED by the
:Mayor thereof this 3rd day of February, 1976.
