(A RESOLt1TION ESTABLISHING COST-OF-LIVING ALLOWANCE)
Whereas, the corporate authorities of the City of Canton, Illinois
have, by Ordinance, provided for a cost-of-living-allowance to be computed
and paid from time to time as therein provided and during the Fiscal year
1976-1977; and,
Whereas, the corporate authorities of the City of Canton, Illinois have
now computed the cost-of-living-allowance to be paid its employees commencing
with the first pay period in the month of December 1976.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT, AND IT HEREBY IS RESOLVED BY THE CORPORATE
AUTHORITIES of the City of Canton, Illinois, as follows:
(1) That the cost-of-living-allowance to be paid to the employees of
the City of Canton, Illinois shall be .08 ~ per hour for each hour
worked commencing the week of December 1, 1976 and in addition to any
cost-of-living-allowance heretofore authorized during the Fiscal year,
1976-1977 (making a total of .21~ per hour in total cost-of-living for
this fiscal year)
(2) That employees thereto entitled shall be paid retroactively as
soon as practicable and shall be paid currently for each pay period here-
after until computation and re-determination of the cost-of-living-
allowance has again been made by the corporate authorities as provided by
said Ordinance.
PASSED by the City Council of the City of Canton, Illinois and
APPROVED by the Mayor thereof ;~ LL~ day of December, 1976.
