ORDINANCE N0. V' ~~
AN ORDINANCE REPEALING SECTION 6 OF ORDINANCE N0. 324 CONCERNING PARKING
ON THE NORTH SIDE OF WEST WALNUT STREET IN THE CITY OF CANTON, ILLINOIS
BETWEEN SOUTH MAIN STREET AND SOUTH MARTIN AVENUE.
WHEREAS, the Streets and Traffic Committee of the City of Canton,
Illinois has determined that it is necessary, desirable and to the best
interests of the City of Canton to repeal Section 6 of Ordinance No. 324;
and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Canton, Illinois has made a
similar determination.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
CANTON, ILLINOIS, AS FOLLOWS:
1. That Section 6 of Ordinance No. 3''.4 be, and the same is hereby re-
pealed.
2. Parking of a motor vehicle shall be permitted between the hours
of 6:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. on the North side of West Walnut Street in the
City of Canton, Illinois between the West curb line of South Main Street
and the East curb line of South Martin Avenue, as extended.
3. That the appropriate officials of the City shall remove the signs
and markings designating this area as a no parking area between the hours
of 6:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m.
4. That this Ordinance shall be in full force and effect upon its
passage by the City Council of the City of Canton, Illinois and approval
by the Mayor thereof.
